Work with Me

I work with a wide variety of clients navigating different relationship challenges. Here are a few of the ways that might look:

You are a couple who:

  • May have a strong foundation in your relationship but you want a deeper emotional connection and/or better communication.

  • May be navigating changes to the structure of your relationship, perhaps moving into an open relationship or polyamory. Or navigating struggles within an existing non-monogamous dynamic.

  • May be navigating a challenging situation with a child (mental health, gender identity, sexuality, etc.).

  • May be struggling with in-law relationships or aging parents.

  • May fight frequently or never experience conflict. Either way, communication is not ideal.

  • May feel like roommates living in the same house without any emotional connection.

  • May feel disconnected from one another and have even considered separation or divorce.

  • No matter the issue, you both want to work on your relationship and engage in the process. This is essential.

You are an individual who:

  • May be struggling with a complicated romantic or non-romantic relationship in your life. Perhaps you’re dealing with one or more of the issues listed in the “couples” section above, but are seeking individual therapy. Only one person has to shift in order for the entire dynamic to improve.

  • May be struggling with past or present challenges in a familial relationship (parents, sibling, etc.).

  • May be navigating the loss of a loved one and the accompanying grief.

  • May be in any kind of relationship involving destructive behaviors such as narcissism, gaslighting, emotional withdrawal, etc.

  • May be navigating identity questions (gender, sexuality, monogamy, etc.).

All are Welcome: I work with clients of any identity, background and preference. I welcome individuals and couples that identify as LGBTQI+ and non-romantic or non-monogamous/open relationships.

 How it works

I work with clients remotely on a secure video platform and accordingly see clients all over Maine and across the country.

I typically work with clients weekly or biweekly depending on their needs, and when possible schedule recurring appointment times.

I don’t believe therapy or coaching need to be long-term - the goal is to move through the work in order to get somewhere better than where you started. Eventually, we taper to monthly check-ins and then taper off completely, scheduling individual sessions as needed.

I use homework assignments (writing, tools to practice outside of session) as a way to reinforce the work we do together.

 Investment

I recognize and honor that working with me is an investment. The fee for an initial intake session for both individuals and couples is $200.00. Following the intake appointment, individual sessions are $150.00 and couples/family sessions are $175.00. All sessions are 60 minutes in length.

  • Regarding insurance, I’m an out-of-network provider in Maine.

  • I do not submit claims directly to insurance companies. If needed, I can provide clients with an itemized monthly bill that they can submit to their insurance company for reimbursement.

  • Payment is due at time of service and is processed automatically using credit/debit cards.

  • For cancellations, I request at least 48 hours notice, after which the full appointment fee will be charged.

I look forward to connecting with you - please reach out!
